Our Mission
The Cherry Moon Foundation provides young people in Cebu, Philippines with access to education and other programs focusing on arts and mental health. The Foundation aims to empower individuals and create valuable partnerships with other organizations and groups to benefit the community and truly make a difference in people’s lives.
Our Founder
The Cherry Moon Foundation is named after the late Ma. Socorro “Cherry” Susara Muntuerto.
A former Vice President of PCIBank Cebu and Chief Financial Officer of Muntuerto Management & Development Corporation, Cherry was a successful executive whose passion was to provide young people with better opportunities for the future through education and empowerment.
She supported young women by providing them with scholarships and gave back to the community by championing theater and arts in Cebu. One of the Foundation’s cornerstones is a focus on mental health and wellness because one of the keys to achieving one’s goals is to have the right support system as well as maintain good mental and emotional health.
Inspired by Cherry’s life as a leader, educator, and artist, her daughter Anne Muntuerto founded the Cherry Moon Foundation in 2022 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization to support more of today’s youth through education, arts and mental health.
